birmingham chapter announces new board of directors

BIRMINGHAM – The Birmingham Chapter of the Public Relations Council of Alabama (PRCA-B) announces the following new board of directors for the 2003-04 year:

In addition to its regular meetings and special events, PRCA-B has the honor of hosting the 2004 PRCA State Conference to be held Sept. 23-24, 2004. The event will be the year’s largest gathering of professional public relations and communication practitioners in Alabama.

PRCA is the state's oldest and largest group of public relations practitioners. The organization exists to further the professional and networking interests of today's public relations and communication professional in private, public and nonprofit businesses and organizations. Along with networking, PRCA offers career development and civic improvement opportunities, seeks to mentor college students and works to improve the professionalism of public relations practice through its accreditation program. There are six PRCA chapters in Alabama. They are: Birmingham, East Alabama (in Auburn), Huntsville, Mobile, Montgomery and West Alabama (in Tuscaloosa).
